The image above shows the Flash movie stage with a CCforFlash component linked to a Flash 8 FLVPlayback component. The instance name of the FLVPlayback component is _videoObject, which has been entered under the Object name and path parameter in the CCforFlash component inspector. Also note that Any Flash Video Component has been selected under the first parameter in the inspector: Object type to sync to.

Flash Movie Demonstration Files

A variety of Flash movie (.fla) files have been provided that demonstrate the ways the CCforFlash component can be added and synchronized to video and sound objects in the Flash CS3 (see note below), Flash 8 and Flash MX 2004 authoring environments.

Notes:

  • The CC for Flash component can be placed in Flash CS3 movies when building projects in ActionScript 2.0.
  • The sample DFXP file contains a global style setting which changes the caption text color to yellow. DFXP global style settings can be overridden by setting the Override caption file style parameter to true in the CCforFlash component inspector.
