eDescription prototype evaluation

We will provide you with an eDescription prototype to show to your students. We will also provide you with a protocol to follow during the demonstration. The protocol will include a narrative script and a list of questions or issues that are to be explored with suggested probes for following up on key topics. During the prototype evaluation, we will observe each student/teacher pair, and video-record sessions for later analysis.

Individual interviews with students and with teachers.

After each prototype evaluation, we will interview teachers and students separately to capture the perspectives of each participant. We will explore areas of confusion and ask direct questions about both successful and problematic descriptions. We will also solicit student and teacher opinions about potential uses of eDescription audio files in the classroom and at home.
