The Millennium Partner Program began this year as an enhancement to the NCAM Business Partner Program. The new level gives corporate partners additional membership benefits and services to address the accessibility of internal and external communications and make specific product improvements.
NCAM thanks GTE Service Corporation, Microsoft, and MCI WorldCom for becoming the first Millennium Partners during the 1999 fiscal year. Their generous contributions to NCAM's efforts reflect their corporate dedication to people with disabilities.
"The intranet is increasingly becoming the portal to information and collaboration for our employees and it is paramount that we strive to provide access to this information for all employees. At the same time, GTE is also increasingly conducting business over the Internet and it is just as important that we facilitate access to the www.gte.com Web site for all visitors. NCAM will help us to accomplish these objectives.
Ralf Neufang, Educational Partnerships and Alliances, Workforce Development, GTE Service Corporation
"Support for NCAM's program is a high priority for MCI WorldCom's Foundation because it is aimed at making the Internet far more accessible to people with various disabilities."Dr. Vint Cerf, Senior Vice President of Internet Architecture and Technology for MCI WorldCom
