Research on Edited Captions
Jan. 2001 - Dec. 2003

Project Home | Detailed Overview | Staff

Research on Edited Captions is investigating comprehension differences when deaf and hard-of-hearing children watch videos with edited captions — captions with a slower presentation rate and modified language — versus near-verbatim captions. We are also looking at children's preferences and attitudes related to captioned media.

Funders

Funding for the Project is provided by the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education Programs.
