Installing MAGpie

Always uninstall the previous version of MAGpie before installing a newer version.

  1. Create a temporary folder and a MAGpie project folder (for example C:\MAGPIE\PROJECTS).

  2. Using WinZip (available at http://www.winzip.com), unzip the MAGPIE installation ZIP file (MAGINST.ZIP) into the temporary folder.

  3. Run SETUP.EXE.

  4. Set the installation directory to the Magpie project folder by pressing the Change Directory button or pressing ALT+C.

  5. Select the big setup button to complete the installation. If you are using a screen reader, press SHIFT+TAB to return to the setup button after changing the directory in step 4.

Once installed, you can start writing captions with MAGpie.
